Naches Heights Vineyard sits on land that has been in the Cline family for over 75 years. What began as an apple and pear operation in the heart of Yakima has grown into one of Washington's most recognized small wineries, rooted in three generations of farming and a deep commitment to the land they have always called home.

The first wine grapes were planted in the spring of 2002. The first bottles followed in 2006. Since then, Naches Heights Vineyard has earned a reputation for producing wines that genuinely reflect where they come from, winning multiple Double Gold and Gold medals at the 2025 and 2026 Washington, Seattle, Oregon and Idaho Wine Awards.

Your host for the evening

Phil was born in Yakima and raised on the same Naches Heights property where the vineyard stands today. As a third-generation farmer, he spent his career working the land through West Hollywood Farms LLC, managing 252 acres of apples, pears, and wine grapes across nine vineyards in the Yakima Valley.

In 2002, Phil made a bet on wine grapes and on Naches Heights specifically, at a time when almost no one else was paying attention to the area. That instinct paid off. He helped establish the Naches Heights AVA in 2008, putting the region on the map and validating what he had believed all along: that this land grows something special.
